Advocacy, Education and Research
The Arc is an advocate for full citizenship rights and for the
well-being of people with disabilities. The Arc also serves as an
educator and researcher for citizens to learn about developmental
disability issues.
Community and Recreation
The Arc utilizes various community settings and encourages consumers
to participate in activities of interest to help develop to their full
potential. Activities include softball, swimming, bowling, vacations,
movies, Recreation Department activities and Special Olympics.
Friends and Family
The Arc helps consumers that are involved in the Residential,
Guardianship, or Respite Care programs develop and maintain
relationships with their families and friends.
Guardianship and Residential Program
The Arc is appointed guardian to assist individuals who are deemed
incompetent with making life decisions. The wards' rights and
interests are protected as a citizen. The Arc also places adults in a
variety of integrated community settings.
Membership
The Arc is open to all people who are interested in giving and
volunteering their time to help in various ways. For more information,
